Between you and me, I am not a Christmas person. I enjoy getting together with family, I approve of the notion of kindness to others that people say is a part of the holiday season and it is no secret that I enjoy the grand feasts and tasty food that always pop up around this time of year.Why aren't people nice to each other the other 11 months out of the year? This is some remnant of our youth, when we were told that if we weren't good, Santa wouldn't bring us presents. It's all a crock chock full o' hooey.
That said, you might buy into all of that garbage. To be honest, part of me wishes that I could.

- They auctioned off the right to spend Christmas in Ralphie's house
